This is the Pro-Line Pre-Built Performance Transmission for the Traxxas Slash 2WD, Stampede 2WD, Rustler, and Bandit vehicles.This will work on XL-5 and VXL 2WD versions of these models.  This is lighter and has less rotating mass than the stock transmission, meaning you will get faster acceleration and greater overall performance!

The Traxxas Slash is one of the most important and successfulvehicles in the History of RC because it brought affordable scale realism tothe masses. Pre-Assembled – Installand Go!
Transmissions are complicated and have a lot of moving parts. Pro-Line has done the work for you and pre-assembled the transmission to getyou to the track faster!  All you have to do is Install and Go!  The Sealed,Oil-filled Differential has been pre-filled with 5,000 weight diff oil and theslipper system has been pre-set for proper performance.

The single biggest feature and upgrade over the stocktransmission is Pro-Line’s Performance Differential.  The design is based off of 1/8 scale buggy style sealed differentials and is completely tunable tocurrent track conditions by changing the weight of the diff oil.  TheDifferential features super smooth Steel Internal Diff Gears for the ultimate indurability, and 4 O-Rings and a Diff Gasket that seals against fluid leakage.  Youwill be amazed at how smooth the differential is and how much it improves theperformance of your vehicle.

Race Inspired SlipperSystem with Vented Discs
The Performance Transmission features a proven, race styleslipper pad and plate system that is more consistent, lighter and runs truerthan the stock slipper design.  The plates are Hard Anodized Aluminum with VentHoles, which reduces heat and improves slipper consistency.  Pro-Line’s 86t SpurGear is extra wide for durability and is not offset like the stock spur gear.  This eliminates the wobbly spur gears!  The Clear hard plastic Gear Cover has a removablerubber cap for easy access to adjust the tension on the slipper system.   Adjustments can be made with the same 7mm tool that you use to remove wheelnuts.

Lightweight Transmissionand Gears
Pro-Line’s new Performance Transmission has 20% less rotatingmass and is over 20% lighter overall than the stock transmission.  This allowsquicker acceleration, less work for the motor and faster lap times.  The bottomDiff Case Gear and Idler Gear are made out of super durable and lightweighthigh impact plastic, while the Top Gear is super strong Steel.

3mm Thick Aluminum MotorPlate, Full Ball Bearings, & Other Awesome Features
There are so many other awesome features that make Pro-Line’sPerformance Transmission a must have.  The motor mounts to 3mm thick AluminumMotor Plate with cooling fins and a machined P-L logo, all of which acts as ahuge heat sink to keep your motor running cool.  High quality Ball Bearings areused throughout the Transmission and the Differential spins on huge 10mm x 16mmx 5mm Ball Bearings for incredible load capability.  The Toe Block is moldedseparate from the Transmission Case allowing for quicker and easier access tothe Transmission when tuning the Differential Oil.  The separate Toe Block alsoopens up the possibility for different tuning blocks (Toe Angle and Anti-Squat)to be used at some point in the future.  The Hardened Steel Outdrive Shafts willaccept the stock axles, as well as any aftermarket CVD’s or drive shafts thatyou might have for your vehicle.
